Ajapa japa is to be done from dawn to dawn without break. The mantra is recited along with inhalation and exhalation of breath. Normally we breathe 21600 times a day. This japa is done along with kundalini meditation, beginning with the base chakra and ending at the crown chakra. Surely ajapa japa cannot be combined with routine work. An exclusive day should be allotted for performing this.
