Jay Roach (born June 14, 1957) is an American film director and producer, best known for directing the Austin Powers films and Meet the Parents.[1]

Life and career
Roach was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated in 1975 from Eldorado High School in Albuquerque, then received his BA degree from Stanford University in Economics. He earned an MFA in film production from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in 1986.[2]
He is married to Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles and has two sons.
Recently, it has been announced that he will be directing Dinner for Schmucks, the American remake of The Dinner Game, featuring Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd.[3][4] However, he will not be returning to direct the third installment in the Meet the Parents series, taking a producing role only.[5]
