Biography

A pianist and vocalist who recorded for Bethlehem in the '50s, then resurfaced in the late '70s and was very active during the '80s. Derise played in a bebop style, though he also recorded with a big band and even with The Australian Jazz Quartet. But most of his dates were with a small combo. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
