The town connects to Nairobi (Kenya's Capital City) using three routes these are the CODE A104 Road On an average speed of 100Kmph or 62 Mph It takes approximately 20 Minutes from westlands Nairobi to get to Kikuyu through this Dual carriage road. It is also known as Nairobi-Naivasha-Nakuru Highway and also using another route to Dagoretti Road -Dagoretti Corner Onto -Nairobi which is a longer route this because of the many towns it bypasses and unlike the A104 Road its not dual carriage Another route is through the Dagoretti -Karen-Langata-Nairobi Route which is quite fast due to low traffic.
