The legendary Flying Dutchman sails on alone, but KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is part of Air France-KLM, Europe's largest airline company. KLM and Air France operate from their respective hubs in Amsterdam and Paris as independent carriers, but they are working to coordinate their businesses. KLM flies to 250 destinations and operates 190 planes, including about 55 used for its KLM Cityhopper charter operations. It also owns two subsidiaries based in the Netherlands that offer budget charter and scheduled flights: Transavia and Martinair.
