The legendary Flying Dutchman sails on alone, but Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij (also known as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines) is part of Air France-KLM, Europe's largest airline company. KLM and Air France operate from their own hubs in Amsterdam and Paris as independent carriers, but also coordinate their businesses. KLM flies to 250 destinations and operates about 200 planes, including about 55 used for its KLM Cityhopper charter operations. Its two other Netherlands-based subsidiaries, Transavia and Martinair, offer budget charter and scheduled flights.
