Lac La Biche is a hamlet within Lac La Biche County.
Lac La Biche County is an amalgamated municipality, which
includes the hamlets of Lac La Biche and Plamondon, and also houses
the communities of Caslan, Hylo, Rich Lake and Owl River. The
former Town of Lac La Biche, the second oldest community in Alberta
behind Fort McKay, was amalgamated into the former Lakeland County
in 2008 to form the current Lac La Biche County.
The total population of the new municipality is approximately
10,000.
