Sir Lancelot (of the Lake) is a central fictional character of the Knights of the Round Table. He first appeared in "Knight of the Cart" which was written in the early 1100's. If Sir Lancelot had been a real person, he would have been a Christian, as were all knights of the realm during that period of British history.
