Answer Leaving to gain control in an abusive relationship won't help you much. You will never gain control over a person who is mentally sick by leaving him or her. This person needs help and either you stand by them while they get professional help or you leave because you feel it's the thing to do. Don't leave for all the wrong reasons and later regret your move, if you have children and this person won't go for help, then leave as fast as you can because your children will eventually be affected by your choice to stay in an abusive relationship. Good luck

It depends upon the wording of the statute in your particular state - but - not a good idea. As a general rule - in the case of a personal injury collision - you are required to stay on the scene until the arrival of an investigator. Your intentions MAY have been good - BUT - who knows what YOUR condition was at the time. Perhaps you were impaired and didn't wish to be interrogated and/or found out?

Decking tiles can be very convenient and easy to install. It is important to keep some space between the decking tiles and the walls of a home or other structure. This is because some novice homeowners start the tiles pressed directly against a wall. Unfortunately, this could ruin an entire project if the walls are not perfectly aligned. It is much safer to measure and work towards a wall, leaving space between the tiles and the wall wherever necessary to keep the larger pattern aligned.

You can leave pump out all winter PROVIDED it is completely void of all water and will not be exposed to freezing. It is advisable, as the pump is an expensive component, to disconnect pump and bring into garage. We have left out pump out many times and taken it in many times. We live in a climate that reaches below freezing maybe 30 - 45 days during winter.

Using make up artists for a special event such as a wedding or anniversary party is becoming more common. One thing to remember about hiring and using make up artists, however, is that they might require a significant amount of time in order to complete a proper look. This needs to be planned for during the day. When working on location, make up artists usually need a certain amount of time to set up their supplies before starting, and there might also be times during the process where a product must be allowed to dry before they can continue. Allowing for this time can help to make an otherwise hectic preparation for a special event easier and more relaxing.

Well, isn't that just a happy little question! To find the area of a circle when given the circumference, you can use the formula A = (C^2) / (4π), where C is the circumference. So, for a circle with a circumference of 50π cm, the area would be (50π)^2 / (4π) = 625π cm². Just imagine all the lovely landscapes you could paint on a canvas that size!

Art. 63.001. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:

(1) "Child" means a person under 18 years of age.

(2) "Missing[0] person[0]" means a person[0] 18 years old or older

whose disappearance is possibly not voluntary.

(3) "Missing[0] child" means a child whose whereabouts are

unknown to the child's legal custodian, the circumstances of whose

absence indicate that:

(A) the child did not voluntarily leave the care and control

of the custodian, and the taking of the child was not authorized by

law;

(B) the child voluntarily left the care and control of his

legal custodian without the custodian's consent and without intent

to return; or

THIS IS FROM THE CURRENT STATUES AND LAWS IN THE STATE OF TEXAS A PARENT REFER TO (B) § 25.06. HARBORING RUNAWAY[0] CHILD. (a) A person commits

an offense if he knowingly harbors a child and he is criminally

negligent about whether the child:

(1) is younger than 18 years; and

(2) has escaped from the custody of a peace officer, a

probation officer, the Texas Youth Council, or a detention facility

for children, or is voluntarily absent from the child's home

without the consent of the child's parent or guardian for a

substantial length of time or without the intent to return.

THERE IS A LOT MORE, BUT IN THE STATE OF TEXAS IF YOUR PARENTS SAY NO THEY DO HAVE LEGAL RECOURSE. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER LAWS INCLUDING THE REQUIREMENT OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TO OBTAIN AND TRANSPORT A KNOWN MISSING PERSON UNDER 18 BACK TO THE HANDS OF THE PARENTS. MANY OFFICERS ARE NOT CLEAR ON THE LAW. 17 IS NOT ALWAYS A MAGIC NUMBER AS MANY MISTAKINGLY BELIEVE.

There are a few simple, yet practical strategies that can help us as we adjust to the new dynamic of a "long distance" relationship with our loved ones when we step forward in our lives. While opportunities may take us geographically away from our family, it is still important to nurture these familial relationships. Time has a tendency of slipping away, and good intentions to call or keep in touch often get sabotaged by the many commitments of our busy lives. Once a significant period of time has elapsed, guilt over not reaching out can further complicate the issue.

What has worked in my own life is a phone call schedule where I set aside a certain day and time to phone my loved ones. It allows you to be undistracted, open, and able to focus on the interaction. You won't be hurrying off the phone, or trying to multi-task while talking. Keep a memo pad by your desk and jot down any significant observations or tidbits that you want to share with your parents, adult children, or any other family member so that you don't forget them during these calls.

I also maintain an ongoing "care package" that I add items to fairly regularly. Put clippings, photos, and tiny souvenirs of your day-to-day existence in whenever the mood strikes. When it gets filled, mail it. This also keeps the constant intent to send something in check - doing it this way seems less like a chore or obligation and more like an ongoing ritual. Family members have expressed excitement over the contents - matchbook covers from a new restaurant tried, photos of the newly planted garden, brochures from the mall visited; all of these little tokens will provide a sense of sharing and inclusion.

If feasible, plan or schedule some sort of service to pamper your loved one, such as a visit from a housekeeping service or a "fruit-of-the-month" type club. This will lend an expectation and regularity in lieu of your own personal sit-down visits. Ensure that it is not something to be interpreted as intrusive - not all parents want a cleaning lady in the home - but they might welcome a monthly delivery of food or other goods.

Before leaving the area, encourage your parents, children, siblings to consider signing consents so that you may speak directly to healthcare providers should the need arise. This can also provide you a support should concerns arise regarding their well being, but you are too far away to address in person. Be persistant and pragmatic when discussing this - if you would usually accompany your adult daughter to her doctor appointments, tell her that it would make you feel better to talk with her doctor directly should the need arise. It has been estimated that we aborb about 10% of what is said to us during a doctor visit. That is one reason why it is recommended that we take a companion along. Using this rationale, assure them that it is not to overstep or hinder their independence as much as it is to support them should something unexpected occur. Express your solidarity as well by signing a similar consent with your own provider for your adult child or parent for the flip-scenario.

Moving away from home can be a liberating step, but can provide mixed emotions surrounding what we leave behind. Nurturing relationships and maintaining closeness from a distance may reveal that the smallest things mean the most to those who care about us.
