Olympic swimmer Lenny Krayzelburg is one of only four men to sweep the Olympic backstroke, having won three gold medals at the 2000 Olympic Games and another one in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, and setting records in both the 100m and as a member of the 4/100 relay team. Born September 28, 1975, in the former Odessa, Russia, now the Ukraine, Krayzelburg speaks fluent Russian. His parents brought their family to the United States in 1989, and Krayzelburg became a U.S. citizen in 1995. He visited the Ukraine with his family after the 1998 Summer Nationals, his first trip back.

A ten-time U.S. National Champion in swimming, Krayzelburg was named USA Swimmer of the Year in 1999 and 2000, is the current world champion in the 100m backstroke, and broke three world records at the 1999 Pan Pacific Chamionships.

Krayzelburg has a degree in Finance from the University of Southern California. He opened swim schools at two Jewish Community Centers in California, one in Los Angeles and one in San Fernando Valley.
