Rachel Lindsay Rene Bush and Sidney Robyn Danae Bush were born May 25, 1970, in Hollywood, California, to Billy Green Bush and Carole Kay Bush. They are former child actresses. Their brother, Clay is also an actor.
The twins were best known for their (switched) role as Carrie Ingalls in the NBC prime time drama Little House on the Prairie which premiered on September 11, 1974 until its cancellation on May 10, 1982.
The fans had a special treat on December 18, 1978 when they get to see them side by side in the fifth season episode "The Godsister". Carrie felt lonesome after her father went away, and she invented an imaginary friend named Elissa to heal her pain. Note: Sidney had a space between her front teeth and fans figured which twin it was. They also switched roles in this episode.
Lindsay guest starred in a Matt Houston episode as an abused victim. Also, she auditioned for the part of Dorothy Gale on Return to Oz but, the role went to Fairuza Balk because she was deemed too old.
Sidney starred in a film Hambone and Hillie in 1984. Her and twin sister Lindsay starred in a few commercials like Doublemint Gum, Mattel Toys, Kentucky Fried Chicken, etc. The twins quietly left Hollywood to finish High School, and Graduated in 1988
Today, Lindsay is single and has a daughter, Katlynn Danae (born 1995). In addition to acting, she has many other interests and pursuits, including as an amateur boxer, having competed in her first bout on August 4, 2007. In addition, she is actively involved with Kids Gloves Boxing Studios in Simi Valley, CA working with kids and adults. Kid Gloves Boxing Foundation's mission is to teach the children to Conceive, Believe, and Achieve in an effort to keep them off the streets and away from negative influences such as gangs and drugs. She is also currently studying for her personal trainer certification and has made plans to go back to college to pursue a major in athletics.
Sidney lives in central California. In addition to acting, she is staying active with her love of horses, having entered her horses in many various local and statewide competitions. She has also put together a line of original designer jewelry that she sells to her fans which can be seen on the official fan website.
Sidney was married to horse breeder William "Rocky" Foster for nine years and sources say[1] that two days before he committed suicide, she had told him she wanted a divorce. Then, on May 5, 2009 William called Sidney to inform her of his plan and promptly shot himself in the head after their conversation. Foster was 55 years old.[2]
The twins attend Little House reunions and chat with and sign autographs for fans.
