Game Character:

Lisa Simpson

Character Bio

Lisa Simpson is the much-overlooked middle child in the Simpson family. A child prodigy in a number of respects, her saxophone skills and scholarly attitude far surpass those of others her age. She also strongly believes in causes, including vegetarianism, making Malibu Stacey a better role model, ending Whacking Day (a Springfield holiday in which citizens "whack" snakes to death), and stopping Laramie cigarettes from marketing to children. Kind and caring, she follows after Marge, with her mother's common sense, hard work ethic and sympathy for others. Her overall "good" attitude often clashes with her rebellious brother Bart's, resulting in many skirmishes between the two.

Although the excitement of her life pales in comparison to Bart's, Lisa has had her share of accomplishments. She was the runner-up of the Miss Springfield Pageant, has invented the Lisa Lionheart doll to replace the politically incorrect Malibu Stacey, has helped Mr. Burns recover from bankruptcy, and was the first female to get through the second grade of Rommelwood Military Academy.

In videogames, Lisa has played second fiddle to Bart, but has seen her fair share of action. In 1991's The Simpsons Arcade game, for instance, she used her jump rope as a weapon on her way to stopping Maggie's kidnappers. Most of the time, though, she plays a supporting role, most notably in Bart Simpson's Escape from Camp Deadly in which she helped her brother survive a summer camp run by Mr. Burns' nephew.
