Austin Martin. There is one automobile manufacture in Austria
which is Magna Steyr. Their engineers develop and assemble
automobiles for other companies on a contractual basis therefore
they are not an automobile marque.

I believe you are thinking of the Ford Model T produced in mass
quantities from l908-l927 with very little changes other than
improvements in ignition, starters, etc. This was first production
line Ford- earlier ones were experimental. Somewhat oddly, the
Model T did not have a shift, but gears were controlled by foot
pedals, akin to the British Adams. The T had plenty of other
oddities- and is worth looking up as an historical classic.
