The best source of information for school closings in the United
States is usually the local T.V. and radio stations. Each district
identifies a list of specific TV and radio stations they will
notify directly of closures and delayed openings. Other stations in
the area may not receive this infomration in a timely fashion, so
listen to the designated stations.
Radio stations almost always announce the list of closings they
receive every few minutes. Television stations usually run an
ongoing list of closings across the bottom of the screen or show
the list every few minutes. Closings might also be posted on their
websites and possibly on the school district's or individual
school's websites.
