Localization Industry Standards Association was created in 1990.

1. Analysis of website localization requirements: determine the content that needs localization and the parts that do not need localization;

2. Web page translation: extract the content of the website page that needs to be translated, and carry out the translation of the website page;

3. Image and animation localization processing: process images and animations that need to be localized;

4. Web page code translation processing: replace the source language with the target language, and adjust the html code to make a localized version;

5. Website background program localization: background interface translation and processing, running program localization development;

6. Website localization test: release the localization test version, trial run, version test to ensure the normal operation of the website;

7. Website localization release: release the official running version of the website.

You are not expected to have a degree when applying for a localization job. However, you may be more favorably considered for the job if you have certification. The Institute for Localization Professionals (TILP) certifies students at 2 levels and are to provide a third.

The antonym for globalization is localization, which refers to focusing on local or regional markets and cultures rather than global integration.
