Logone River

Britannica Concise Encyclopedia: Logone River

River, north-central Africa. The chief tributary of the Chari River of the Lake Chad basin in equatorial Africa, it drains northeastern Cameroon and Chad. It flows 240 mi (390 km) northwest to join the Chari at N'Djamena, Chad. It is seasonally navigable for small steamers below Bongor.
