The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team represents Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. The team currently competes in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. Since the Bulldogs first season in 1901, Louisiana Tech has compiled an all-time record of 545 wins, 407 losses, and 37 ties. In 107 football seasons, the Bulldogs have won 2 Division II national championships, won 23 conference championships, and played in 12 bowl games. Since 1968, the Bulldogs have played their home games at Joe Aillet Stadium. Currently, the team is led by Derek Dooley who is the only Athletics Director/Head Coach in NCAA Division I sports.
