Ludovico Quaroni
(1911–87)
Italian architect, teacher, and town-planner, he was a distinguished Neo-Classicist during the Fascist era. He designed a group of small villas, Gaeta Region, Latina (1936), and the Piazza della Nuova Stazione Urban Plan, Ostia Lido, near Rome (1937—with E. Fuselli). Other works included the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore (later San Franco), Francavilla al Mare (1948–58), a housing development, in which a Roman
