Lumen Gentium, or the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, was a
document written of the Second Vatican Council in 1964. The first
chapter, titled The Mystery of the Church, spoke of 'the sole
Church of Christ', its position as a society and its relation to
the Catholic Church in particular.
