Maesteg railway station is one of two railway stations that serve the town of Maesteg in South Wales. The 1992 built station is located in the centre of the town, adjacent to the Somerfield Supermarket store and on former sidings.
The station is now the terminus of the Maesteg Line from Cardiff via Bridgend. Previously, the line continued northbound through the old Maesteg station which closed with the withdrawal of passenger services in 1970. The former station and footbridge still exists, although the track has now been removed and there is heavy tree and plant growth at the location.

Passenger services are operated by Arriva Trains Wales There is a dedicated rail link bus that links with the train. It is only available to rail passengers and operates to Nantyfyllon, Spelter, Caerau, Blaencaerau and Caerau Park, serving the areas north of Maesteg, two of whom (Nantyffyllon and Caerau), had railway stations until 1970.
Most services from Maesteg on Mondays to Saturdays continue to Cheltenham via Gloucester.
At 12:12 and 18:12, two trains terminate at Maesteg having operated the 06:27 and 12:38 service respectively from Holyhead and then return to Manchester Piccadilly. This saves having to change trains at either Bridgend or Cardiff Central. These trains are operated by Class 175 'Coradia' units.
Also, the 06:46 departure from Maesteg extends to Ebbw Vale Parkway.
