Malaysian Airline System (MAS) brings the world to Malaysia -- and vice versa -- through its main subsidiary, Malaysia Airlines, the nation's primary international carrier. From its hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Airlines serves about 80 destinations on six continents, some via code-sharing. MAS has a fleet of some 90 aircraft. The carrier's main code-sharing partners include Alitalia, British Midland, Garuda, and KLM. (Code-sharing enables airlines to sell tickets on one another's flights and thus extend their networks.) Government-owned Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad (PMB) and Khazanah Nasional Berhad collectively own 69% of the airline.
