Marcello Gandini (born on August 26, 1938) is an Italian car designer.
Born in Turin, after finishing school he received a job as the chief designer at Bertone. In 1980 he left to pursue a career as a freelance designer. He introduced the concept of scissor doors with the Alfa Romeo 33 Carabo prototype.
