MathType, created by Design Science, is a proprietary interactive tool for Windows and Macintosh that allows the creation of mathematical notation for word processing, web pages, desktop publishing, and presentations, as well as for TeX, LaTeX, and MathML documents. MathType is the professional version of the Equation Editor in MS Office and many other products.
The current version of MathType (version 6.5) is fully compatible with Office 2000, XP, 2003, and 2007. MathType for Macintosh version 6.0 is compatible with Office 98 and later. Apple's iWork 09 Pages, Keynote, and Numbers applications have support for MathType 6.
Equations from Wiki pages can be drag and dropped, or copied and pasted into MathType window.
