Biography

Like many of his Canadian contemporaries, actor Matt Craven broke into films by way of such adolescent sex comedies as Meatballs (1979) and Hog Wild (1980). Craven honed his acting skills on the off-Broadway stage, beginning with the 1984 production Blue Willows. He has since contributed supporting performances to films like Blue Steel (1990), A Few Good Men (1992), and Crimson Tide (1995). Matt Craven's TV-series roles include bartender Ritchie Massina in the Robby Benson starrer Tough Cookies (1986) and Bobby Kratz in the Alan Arkin vehicle Harry (1987). Matt Craven (born November 10, 1956) is a Canadian actor.

Craven was born Matthew John Crnkovich in Port Colborne, Ontario, the son of Joanne Leslie, a hairdresser, and Nick Crnkovich.[1] He has a sister, Debbie, a half sister, Kelly and a half brother, Robert. Craven is married to Sally Craven and has two children, Josephine and Nicholas.[2]

Craven's film credits include Meatballs, Happy Birthday to Me, Tin Men, Blue Steel, Jacob's Ladder, K2, A Few Good Men, Indian Summer, Crimson Tide, The Juror, Paulie, Dragonfly, The Life of David Gale, Timeline, The Clearing, Assault on Precinct 13, Déjà Vu and Disturbia. His television credits include American Gothic, L.A. Doctors, ER, Boomtown, The Lyon's Den, Without a Trace and Raines.
