Commercial."

The DC-10 is a long range commercial airplane that
McDonnell-Douglas placed into service in the early 1970s. This was
McDonnell-Douglas's contribution to the introduction of wide-bodied
airliners to the aviation industry, beginning service at about the
same time as the Boeing 747 and Lockheed L1011. There is an
