Morton Meyerson is Chairman and CEO of 2M Companies, Inc, Chairman of the Morton H. Meyerson Family Tzedakah Fund, and Chairman of E2M Partners, a value-added real estate fund.
2M Companies, Inc. is a private investment firm, investing in technology, real estate, restaurants and magazines. Meyerson dedicates his time equally to family, philanthropy, study and investments.
The MHM Family Tzedakah Fund is Meyerson's primary philanthropic vehicle to help Jewish and non-Jewish programs. "Tzedakah" is the Hebrew word for righteous, required giving. Meyerson focuses on organizations that help the very needy in Texas, New York, Israel, India and Africa. The Fund also supports education, medical research and music.
Meyerson spent 40 years in business, beginning his career as a computer software programmer trainee at Bell Helicopter, and later achieving the highest executive positions at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), duPont Glore Forgan, a Wall Street firm, and Perot Systems (PSC).
Morton Meyerson has two daughters, Leslie and Marti; a deceased son, David (click for a map to David’s Bench in Central Park, NYC) and six grandchildren: Julia, Miles, Natalie, Hannah, David and Sandy.
He was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2007.
