Biography
Born in the Bronx, NY, in 1972, actor Michael Landes began his acting career on the opposite coast, with a recurring role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. After getting his feet wet with more television work, Landes landed an even bigger break when he was cast as Jimmy Olsen on the series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in 1993. After the first season, however, producers decided that the young actor's chiseled good looks were a little too manly for the boyish role, and Landes was cut loose. He continued to work in films like Hart's War and on series like The Drew Carey Show, and in 1998, he both produced and starred in the film Getting Personal. In 2000, he married actress Wendy Benson, and he continued to build up his resumé, even snagging a staring role in the British series Love Soup. Then, in 2008, he was cast in the independent film Possession, boosting his profile and gearing him up for his next role in the thriller Homecoming, in which he starred alongside Mischa Barton. ~ Cammila Albertson, RoviFilmography:

Michael Christopher Landes[1] (born September 18, 1972) is an American actor. He is known for his roles of Jimmy Olsen in the first season of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Detective Nicholas O'Malley in Special Unit 2, and Officer Thomas Burke in Final Destination 2.

Career
Michael Landes' first major role was Jimmy Olsen in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in 1993. Michael Landes was able to bring the role of Jimmy more up to date and more modern than he had previously been depicted in other Superman media.
Landes was not invited to continue the role of Jimmy Olsen after the first season. The creator of the series explained in DVD commentary that this was because the producers perceived him to resemble lead actor Dean Cain too much. Justin Whalin took over the role for the remaining three seasons of the program.
He is also known for his roles as Detective Nicholas O'Malley in Special Unit 2, Officer Thomas Burke in Final Destination 2, and David Conlon in The Wedding Bells.
Personal life
Landes was born in the Bronx, New York, the son of Patricia, an interior decorator, and Bernard Landes, a marketing consultant.[1] He married actress Wendy Benson on October 21, 2000.[1] Together, the couple have two children, Mimi Landes and Dominic Landes.
