New Town in Middleton-in-Teesdale was the main place in Middleton-in-Teesdale and the main place that you found Lead Mining. The people that were involved in Lead Mining In New Town got houses that were in the centre and they were very nice houses, I have to say! Instead of all the little ones round the back and had no toilets, they got the ones right in the centre and had lots of shops around it and was easy to access everything. They had perfect lives until the Lead Mining company shut down!
