Jethro took Moses in as a guest when Moses had to flee Egypt. He gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses in marriage (Exodus ch.2). Later, Jethro brought Moses' family to him in the wilderness (Exodus ch.18). At that time, he suggested to Moses the idea of appointing judges/officers for the Israelites (ibid).

Moses was a guest in Yithro's (Jethro's) house and helped him by tending to the flock. As he shepherded the flock in the wilderness area of Horeb, God revealed His presence to him in the Burning Bush and spoke to him (Exodus ch.3).

Frederick Guest (June 14, 1875 - April 28, 1937) succeeded James John Hamlyn Moses as the third Member of Parliament for Plymouth Drake, serving between 1931 and his death. Following Guest's death, Henry Guest (February 15, 1874 - October 9, 1957) became the fourth Member of Parliament for Plymouth Drake, serving between 1937 and 1945.
