The word 'gobelin' does exist in French, but I think 'farfadet' would be 'le mot juste'.

"Farfadet" is the french for leprechaun.... gobelin is more correct

As a metaphor is a a figure of speech which is applied to something to which it is not strictly applicable, the opposite would be the concept of 'le mot juste' - the right word, the exact word, or maybe 'apposite'

The word 'nice' originally meant precise or exact, as in "Nice shot!"

As the word has been misused with impunity and as language has evolved it is now used to mean good, kind, pretty, etc..

The phrase 'nice word' would therefore mean the same as 'the right word' or 'le mot juste'. I don't think there is a single word to convey, as Flaubert might have put it, 'le seul mot juste'.
