A move command is simply a copy command which deletes the original once it's finished.

The command MV is used to move a file in simple Linux Code. This command will move files and directories from one spot to another spot. To move a file, one would simply type in the letters MV before its name.

You can use "xcopy" command.

mkdir - to create a directory.

move - to move one or more files in a new location.

The original only remains in its original location when the copy command is used. The move command would move the original to a new location.

For Unix/Linux, use the command 'cd /'

For Windows, you can also use the same command or 'cd \'
