The nuclear membrane.
In eukaryotic cells, DNA is transcribed into mRNA within the nucleus. Once transcription is complete the mRNA must exit the nucleus to be translated into protein, which ocurrs in the cytoplasm. Thus, mRNA must pass through the nuclear membrane.
