A bar chart for comparing the frequencies of a categorical variable for two or more populations.




Multiple bar chart. This chart compares the population sizes in 1970 and 1988 (figures are in millions) for five countries. The small increases in the two European countries contrast sharply with the increases in countries on other continents.
