Hi, Nirvana wanted to bring change to music by bringing underground music mainstream. They believed that the 80's hair bands were horrible and not "real music" so they wanted to show the world what "real music" was. Which is music with meaning, and emotion. Kurt Cobain thought music was art, which it is, and he thought that it would be stupid to just make a song for the money or the girls. He made his music to give him somthing to listen to because there was nothing good at the time. So, they spread their music with the world and all the people who appreciate "real music".
