Foundation

The company's owner, president, chairman and CEO is Dario O. Marquez, Jr., a former United States Secret Service agent and co-founder of MVM.[2] The company is now a multi-million dollar company, and has over 3,000 employees.

Contracts

Following the September 11th attacks, MVM received contracts from the U.S. Army and the U.S. Justice Department.[2] The company currently holds contracts with the NSA and the CIA to protect its personnel in Iraq.[2] A U.S. Department of State contract to protect the embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan was terminated in 2005 citing inadequate personnel.[2]

Controversy

The company has been accused of mismanagement of its firearms and inventories, using improper procedures, and lacking proper equipment.[2] It is also being sued by a former employee, Dave Boone, for wrongful termination, following a disputed report of an attack.[2] The CIA has also opened their contract for re-bidding, following the firm's alleged inability to supply sufficient numbers of qualified personnel.[2]
