Namanga is a town in Kenya, lying on the border with Tanzania. It is in Kajiado District, Rift Valley Province. It is around 130 kilometers from Arusha, Tanzania. Namanga's economy is heavily dependent on tourism as tourists visiting the nearby Amboseli National Park passes though the town from Nairobi. Nairobi is 200 kilometers from Namanga. Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen from Namanga town. The nearby Ol Doinyo Orok mountain, also known as Namanga Hills is located northwest of Namanga town. Namanga's longitude is S 2°32'39.8" and longitude E 36°47'20.2". The town has an urban population of 5500 (1999 census [1]).
