The Jewish Population of Nashville was estimated at 7,826 in
2002, based on a survey conducted by the Jewish Federation of
Nashville and Middle Tennessee. This represented an increase of
about 112% from the 1980 population of 3,700. The Jewish population
of Nashville has continued to increase and may exceed 8,500 today.
The relatively small population belies the Jewish community's high
visibility and engagement in the broader Nashville area, a region
of about 1.75 million people.
