Review

Navidad is a joyous program of 18 traditional Christmas carols and holiday music with a Latin tinge played by Sergio Lara and Joe Reyes. The duo's unique Latin versions of such favorites as "Winter Wonderland," "Let It Snow," "Angels We Have Heard on High," and "Silent Night" are presented on vintage mandolin, acoustic, and flamenco guitars with sharp, rhythmic chords and breathtaking fast melodic runs. Their fresh approach is sure to stimulate the imagination as they invite listeners to take a holiday vacation through the rhythms of Spain and Mexico. ~ Paula Edelstein, All Music Guide
