Name at birth: Nicholai Olivia Hilton

Nicky Hilton and her older sister Paris are heirs to the Hilton Hotel fortune, known for their jetset party-girl lifestyles. Nicky is named for her grand-uncle Nicholas Conrad "Nicky" Hilton, Jr., the former husband of actress Elizabeth Taylor and the son of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton. NIcky's fame has generally been overshadowed by that of her sister Paris, who starred in the long-running reality series The Simple Life. Nicky Hilton announced in 2006 that she would open a line of hotels to be called Nicky O, but by February of 2007 deals in Miami Beach, Florida and Chicago, Illinois had fallen through and she was being sued by a development company for breach of contract.

Nicky Hilton married 33 year-old Todd Andrew Meister in Las Vegas on 15 August 2004, in a ceremony attended by her sister Paris and friend Bijou Phillips. The marriage was annulled in November of the same year.

Biography

The less tabloid-hogging of the two Hilton sister heiresses, Nicky Hilton began her career as a model. She went on to appear in a handful of cameo film roles, but began focusing her attention on operating her own clothing lines in 2004, when she launched Chick by Nicky Hilton. She followed in her famous family's footsteps in 2006 by launching her own chain of Nicky O luxury hotels. Nicholai Olivia "Nicky" Hilton (born October 5, 1983) is an American fashion model, socialite, celebutante, entrepreneur, heiress, and fashion designer. She is a great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton (founder of Hilton Hotels).

Early life

Hilton was born in New York, NY, and grew up in Los Angeles.[1] Her father is Richard Hilton, a businessman, and her mother is Kathy Hilton (née Avanzino), a socialite and actress. She grew up with three siblings: Paris Whitney Hilton, Barron Nicholas Hilton II, and Conrad Hughes Hilton III.

Career

Fashion designer

In 2004, Hilton launched her own clothing line, Chick by Nicky Hilton. She also designed a line of handbags for Japanese company Samantha Thavasa.[2]

In 2007, she started her second line aimed at a more mature audience and higher pricepoint[citation needed], called Nichole, which had its debut fashion show for the spring/summer 2008 season on September 9, 2007 in New York City during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Model

In 2005, Hilton, along with Kimberly Stewart, was the face of Australian underwear line Antz Pantz.[4] Stewart remains contracted, however Hilton has since been replaced by Australian up-and-coming model Megan Maitland. Around this time, Hilton modeled for the cover of Lucire magazine for its New Zealand and Romanian editions.[citation needed]

Other ventures

In 2006, she entered a partnership to open two Nicky O Hotels, the first in Miami and the second in Chicago. On February 12, 2007, Hilton was sued for breach of contract by her partners.[5]

Personal life

In 2004, Hilton married businessman Todd Andrew Meister at the Las Vegas Wedding Chapel.[6] The marriage was annulled shortly after.[7] Hilton dated Kevin Connolly on and off from 2004-2006.[8] She is currently dating David Katzenberg, son of DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg.[citation needed]
