The Notable Names Database (NNDB), produced by Soylent Communications, is an online database of biographical details of over 35,000 people of note. NNDB describes itself as an "intelligence aggregator" containing links between people as well as vital statistics, job history, religion, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation and biography. in the case of authors, actors and film directors, the article lists the person's work in chronological order. NNDB also has articles on films and music groups.
Readers may suggest additions or corrections which are later vetted by an NNDB staff member.[citation needed]
The NNDB Mapper, a visual tool for exploring connections between people, is also available.
