Biography

Constituting in the mid-'90s in Chicago, Nymb brought out original visions for the most melodious fields of guitar rock, distinguishing their creations by constructing skilled and artsy tunes. Elaine Doty (guitar, vocals), Nathan Snydacker (bass), Jamie Zoeller (guitar), and Ben Kane (drums) secured the lineup of the alternative crew. Playing countless gigs, Nymb rapidly became one of the major acts at the local music scene, releasing its first disc, the EP Novembre, in 1998. Gathering a respectable fan base and a considerable reputation, not only in Chicago but also beyond the windy city, Nymb released The Glass Eye, yet another EP in 1999. In 2001, and shortly before delivering So This Is How It Is, their debut full-length, Nymb announced their separation, releasing their final recording, Nothing New, a limited-edition EP, in August of that same year. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, Rovi
