Optical coherence tomography is technology that allows for ultrasound resolutions of tissues. It is a lot like an xray, but it analyzes the tissues it scans. A benefit of this technology is that it is not invasive. Also it creates images in 3d which allows doctors to examine and study the images with more accuracy.
