A development kit of Java programming interfaces (APIs) from Oracle for creating content and document management systems. Formerly the Internet File System, the CMSDK is based on Oracle's database management system (DBMS). It provides an enterprise-wide system for document sharing and collaboration that takes advantage of the robustness and features of a DBMS. The DBMS still uses the operating system's native file system for actual storage. See Oracle Internet File System and Oracle Files.
