(engineering) An apparatus used for pasteurization of fluids.


Equipment used to pasteurize liquids such as milk, fruit juices, etc. The material is passed continuously over heated plates, or through pipes, where it is heated to the required temperature, maintained for the required time, then immediately cooled.
