I guess you mean either traffic lights or the red light areas. To the former, the lights use the British system of Red/Amber/Green (also drive on the left like the UK) - the latter, yes, there are red light areas in most major towns and cities (although tourists would notice them only in the big/touristy places). In Bangkok there is Soi Cowboy/Patpong/Nana Plaza - in Pattaya there is the front and Walking Street - in Chiang Mai there is Loi Kroh and in Phuket there is Bangla Road/Soi Seadragon. There are also red light areas that cater only to Thais, only to Japanese and only to Koreans - most cater for any.
