The Countess of Pembroke's Arcadia was created in 1590.

Catherine Talbot was the second wife of Henry Herbert 2nd Earl of Pembroke. She was also the daughter of George Talbot and Lady Gertrude Manners. Catherine died childless in 1575 of illness.
