Perelandra is the name for the planet Venus in the Out of the Silent Planet trilogy by C. S. Lewis. This is a science-fiction trilogy, but like the children's series which he wrote, Chronicles of Narnia, it is basically Christian allegory. The first novel, Out of the Silent Planet, takes place on Mars, the second, Perelandra or Voyage to Venus, takes place on Venus, and the last one, That Hideous Strength, takes place on Earth, the silent planet.
Orb would refer to the planet itself.
