Like all modern presidents, Barack Obama does his best to stay
in good health, and he sees a doctor for his annual physical. To
help presidents to maintain their health, there is a doctor whose
official job is to take care of the president and his family. The
role of a "White House physician" was created around 1901, and
continues to this day. The White House physician has an office in
the White House and should the president feel ill, the physician is
readily available.
