French Literature Companion:

Pierre Lesconvel

Lesconvel, Pierre (c.1650-1722). Author of a Utopian novel, the Voyage du prince de Montberaud dans l'Île de Naudely (1703), strongly influenced by Fénelon's Télémaque. The island is France idealized, complete with absolute monarch, aristocracy, and Church; trade and agriculture prosper, but wealth and rank are not abused.
