I believe the question is "Why was Raudive Voices renamed to
EVP?" Konstatin Raudive was an early experiment in Electronic Voice
Phenomena or EVP. EVP is a term which was used primarily in the
non-English speaking world, including much of Europe and South
America. Another term for the same phenomena was "psychopone". This
term was dropped in favor of EVP in the 20th century. While Raudive
became known as an early experimenter in this field, he was only
one. Over time the term, which had always had limited use, became
associated not with this early innovator but with the general
phenomena that was beginning to draw great interest worldwide by
the late 20th century.
