The RCA/Jive Label Group is home to several flagship originally BMG labels, mainly the labels of the former RCA Music Group and the Zomba Music Group. In 2008 Sony completed its merger with BMG. Sony-BMG was owned by Sony and Bertelsmann with each holding 50% of the company. Sony brought the remainder of the company and formed Sony Music Entertainment. Earlier that year Barry Weiss was named CEO of BMG, replacing Clive Davis who because the Chief Creative Officer. Upon BMG being fully incorporated with Sony, the RCA Music Group and Zomba Label Group formed the RCA/Jive Label Group. Both companies were the primary labels under BMG. Barry Weiss continued to serve as CEO.
